US Legal Query
Q
I
have a question I would like to ask anyone that can
answer it. If I was busted like 2 years ago (literally),
and I haven't gone to court, can they still charge me?
I'm not sure if the charges have been dropped or not...and
if not, I've been on a signature bond for the whole
time. This seems kind of unfair considering that if
I break the rules of the bond I forfeit something like
$3000 dollars, if not jail time. I have been wondering
about this situation since it has happened, and I would
appreciate any information you could give me. If you
don't know the answer, maybe you could give me the e-mail
of someone who might. Thank you for your time.

I'm
afraid I cannot help you, as we are based in the UK
and have no dealings with, or experience of, the law
in the USA.
I
suggest you check out some of the US-based organisations
(e.g. law-reform sites) listed in our website links
pages for some advice.
