According
to the British National Formulary, the side effects
of Nicardipine hydrochloride are listed as:
Dizziness,
headache, peripheral oedema (swelling of extremities),
flushing, palpitations, nausea, also gastrointestinal
disturbances, drowsiness, insomnia, tinnitus, hypotension,
rashes, dyspnoea, paraesthesia, frequency of micturition
(peeing), thrombocytopenia, depression & impotence.
The
fact that side effects have been reported does not mean
they are inevitable or even common.
This
drug is used to prevent angina, and treat moderately
high blood pressure.
