it illegal to bring whole unprepared magic mushrooms
back from Amsterdam? I leave on Saturday and would appreciate
some prompt advice

would almost certainly be confiscated, whether technically
illegal or not. If "fresh" they may not be
illegal, if dried, or processed in any way they would
be illegal and you could face prosecution for importing
a class A drug.
